Using v0? 7IT Guard checks and watches your v0 app.

v0 builds a Next.js app and deploys it to Vercel. 7IT Guard checks the deployed app from the outside, and Guard Pro tells you when Vercel stops serving it, and why.

7IT is not affiliated with or endorsed by Vercel. v0 is a trademark of its owner. Vercel, the Vercel design, Next.js and related marks, designs and logos are trademarks or registered trademarks of Vercel, Inc. or its affiliates in the US and other countries.

Get started now

Install it and run it, from where you work today.

  1. Open Claude Code

v0 runs in your browser; Claude Code runs on your computer. Open it in a terminal, in VS Code or Cursor with the Claude Code extension, or in the Claude desktop app. (Cloud sessions in the browser do not load plugins you installed.) Source: code.claude.com

  2. Install 7IT Guard

Add the marketplace and install the plugin. It needs Node.js 18 or newer and nothing else; no account.

    /plugin marketplace add XLSV777/7it-guard /plugin install 7it-guard@7it-guard
  3. Find your v0 app’s live address

In v0, select Publish in the chat header. v0 deploys the project to Vercel and gives it a vercel.app address; production has a stable address you can replace with your own domain. Source: v0.app Copy the production address. That is what 7IT Guard checks.

  4. Run the check

Run the command with your address, or ask Claude: "Is my app at your-app.vercel.app ready to ship?" You get a grade, a score per category, a ranked fix list and a link to the visual report.

    /7it-guard:check your-app.vercel.app

Cursor, Codex and ChatGPT plugin listings for 7IT Guard are coming soon. Until then, Claude Code is the way in.

Unlock the deep checks

Show it is your app.

The deep checks run only on an app that carries your ownership token. v0’s code viewer is read-only, so ask v0 in the chat, or edit the connected GitHub repository. The token is inert: it only proves you can change the app. The report prints it.

  1. Ask v0: "Add a custom meta tag 7it-site-verification with the value 7it-verify-... to the root layout metadata", then publish again. Source: v0.app

  2. In the code, Next.js renders any custom tag from the other field of the metadata in app/layout; or put the token in public/7it-verify.txt, which Next.js serves from the site root. Source: nextjs.org

  3. Run the check again. Claude adds --owner once you say the app is yours.

Guard Pro, opening soonDEPLOYMENT_PAUSED

A paused production deployment answers 503 DEPLOYMENT_PAUSED, for example after usage limits. On the Hobby plan, exceeding a limit usually means waiting until 30 days have passed. Guard Pro recognises the error and names it in the alert. Source: vercel.com

Guard Pro, opening soonFunction timeouts

A function that runs past its allowed time answers 504 FUNCTION_INVOCATION_TIMEOUT. Guard Pro recognises it on the pages it checks. Source: vercel.com

7IT GuardSecurity headers and source maps

Content Security Policy, HSTS, clickjacking protection and a public source map, with a ready snippet for vercel.json and next.config.js in the report.

7IT GuardKeys in the browser bundle

On your own app: a server key that ended up in client code, reported by type and file, never the value.

Vercel’s Hobby plan is for non-commercial, personal use only; an app that takes payments needs Pro or Enterprise. 7IT Guard cannot see your plan from outside, so it does not check this: worth knowing before launch. Source: vercel.com

After launch

Guard Pro keeps watching your v0 app.

Checks every 5 minutes from outside, what changed at every publish in plain words, bill blowup checks, provider outage alerts and the control room app on your phone. It opens soon.

Questions

v0 and 7IT Guard.

Can I edit the code in v0 to add the token?

v0’s viewer is read-only: describe the change in the chat, or edit the connected GitHub repository.

Does Guard Pro use my Vercel account?

No. It checks the app from outside, like a visitor. Nothing is connected to your Vercel account.

Which address should I check?

The production address, or your own domain if you added one. Preview deployments change with every version.
